Q: What is your MAP Policy?
A: uTap Kegs has a minimum advertised price policy (MAP Policy) that applies to all approved dealers and distributors who sell or supply for resell any uTap products. This MAP Policy applies to advertised price. It does not apply to actual sell price.
uTap may revise MAP pricing at its sole discretion and will communicate with clients revised pricing and effective dates if a revision is planned.
Pricing listed on any internet site is considered an advertised price and must adhere to uTap pricing instructions.
uTap reserves the right to enforce corrective action on MAP policy violators that may include suspending the sale of MAP violation products to the reseller in question, cancellation of current MAP violation products orders with same reseller, and refusal of future orders with the reseller on subject products. Q: What are the kegs made of?
A: All uTap kegs are made of food-grade 304 stainless steel.
Q: Are they easy to clean?
A: Yes. The Top Shelf and Back Bar keg kits come with cleaning tablets that make cleaning and sanitization simple. Just fill the keg with warm water, drop in a tablet, and let it soak, then rinse with warm water. The cleaning tablets are also available in our shop.
Q: What type of co2 cylinder should I use with my keg?
A: The uTap Top Shelf and Back Bar kits come with beverage-grade 16g threaded cylinders. Co2 cylinders made for use other than food/beverage may contain lubricants and metals you don’t want in your cocktails. For the best mixed drinks and safest experience, use the appropriate cylinders. For your convenience, we offer replacement packs in our shop.
Q: How many drinks does one cylinder make?
A: One 16oz beverage-grade cylinder yields approximately 128oz, or 1 gallon of beverage.
Q: Does uTap offer a product warranty?
A: Yes. Our products are of the highest quality and we stand behind them. We will replace any product in which workmanship or materials are found to be defective for one year from date of purchase, or ‘warranty period’, when the product is purchased directly through our website or an authorized reseller. If there is a defect and a valid claim is submitted within the warranty period, we will repair or exchange the product with an equivalent. Further, uTap guarantees repaired and replacement products against defects in materials and workmanship from the date of the repair or replacement for 90 days or for the remainder of the warranty period, if longer. When a refund is given, the product becomes the property of uTap and must be returned.
Q: What is uTap’s exchange and return policy?
A: Returns are accepted up to 30 days from the date you received it. Item must be unused, in new condition, and in the original packaging. Receipt or proof of purchase must be included in the return box.
Refunds are processed on a case-by-case basis. Upon receipt of your item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received it. After inspection, we will immediately notify you on the status of your refund. If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your credit card (or original method of payment). Timing of refund will depend on your card issuer's policies.
Please note that you will be responsible for paying for your own return shipping costs. Shipping costs are nonrefundable.
Q: What are the dimensions of the kegs?
A: The ½-gallon single-wall keg is 14” tall x 5.25” wide. It weighs 3.8 pounds empty and 7.8 pounds when full. The ½-gallon double-wall keg is 16” tall x 5.25” wide. It weights 5 pounds empty and 9 pounds when full. The 1-gallon single-wall keg is 18.75” tall x 5.25” wide. It weighs 4.3 pounds empty and 12.3 pounds when full.
